Do you have a specific set of diners you can ONLY GO TO, be the reason medical, religion, or something else, but the list is getting longer, and much harder to remember? I do, because of my kid, who has a severe chemical reaction when eating MSG/unknown spice laid food.
My Kids Diners is not your typical restaurant app. It is for those (or their love ones) who know what restaurants they can go to due to some specific reason, and there’s no need for them to check out recommendation apps like Yelp, or OpenTable. In fact, those apps may not be helpful in such case. However, as the number of diners you can go to, or need to avoid increase, it’s getting more difficult to remember which one is which, and you CERTAINLY DON’T want to try the same place again, especially if it gave you sickness previously (and you forgot!). You know what restaurant you can go to, you enter its name and address in the app. Those that you have to avoid? Yup, enter it in My Kids Diners too! A nice map will show those that you can go, and you can search too (those you have input into the app)! My Kids Diners does not require you to browse through thousands of recommendations; you know where you can go already, and you are just wondering which one is close by.
Here’s an example in which this app is used: Since my kid can only go to certain restaurants, and I know (due to his reaction to the food) which one he can’t go, I enter the name and address of those diners. Saturday, after his sports and music practices, I check the app and see which diner(s) is/are the closest!
Have your friends, relatives (grandparents especially) or babysitter(s) download this app and input those restaurants info in their version, so that they know where to go and avoid, especially since this app is location-base compatible!
Best of all, download your copy now - My Kids Diners is free for the month of May (2014)! Click on iAd to support the app!

To use my kids diner, you launch the app, allow location access, and enter the address of the restaurant that you are visiting. If it’s a restaurant that you believe you can go to again, add it to the Favorite list (in my personal case, because my kid doesn’t have any reaction to the spice and MSG added), and it will show up on the Favorite list. If it’s a restaurant that actually caused illness on my kid for the same aforementioned reason, I will add it to the Avoid list so that I won’t go there again.
The search feature is to see if a particular restaurant was previously visited (just in case you forgot). If it has been visited, it will show up in the result, and if the restaurant was okay to go to, its location will be shown on the map. If it’s on the avoid list, then it won’t show up on the map - because you don’t want to go there!
The delete feature allows you to delete a restaurant.
Here’s an example - I am going to add a restaurant call banana on the Favorite list, and another call tomato on both the favorite and avoid list, (think of tomato as a chain restaurant in 2 different locations). For simplicity sake, I am just going to use zip code for their addresses.
I’ll then show the favorite list, which will have both banana and tomato, followed by the avoid list, which will only have tomato.
Then I’m going to search for tomato. Finally I’ll delete banana.
